I've been looking around the old forum posts all over the place, where people were saying that they got to like level 28 mid-way through Chapter 2 and I just don't understand how that is even remotely possible. For A Higher Cause is a quest in Chapter III of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. As for the talent points, it is 2 points per level as far as I have noticed. This ability requires the expenditure of two Talent points. Simply hold block and wait for the shots to come to Geralt. Geralt, Triss and Vernon head off to Flotsam and once there, the witcher must free his. The Prologue introduces Vernon Roche, mentions Iorveth and sets up the intrigue with the murder of King Foltest. Depending on Geralt's choice of allegiance, it unfolds differently. But somehow at the very end of the game I just made it half way to level 34. I used a trainer (boosting the experience gain per fight) just to check how far the level goes. My playthrough took give or take 45 hours, I've done literally every single side quest that the path I chose allowed, didn't skip a corner, a single inch of this world, killed every little basterd mob (backtracked several times a lot of locations, to not miss any loot either), talked to every single NPC, everything, I wanted to see it all and reap the rewards. I've played on Normal, which I have no clue if it influences the XP rate or whatever, so if anyone knows anything about that I'd love to know how that works.
